“American Martial Arts Academy is a life experience, not just
another ‘sport’.”
My time with the
American Martial Arts Academy has been one of the best experiences
of my life. It is so much more than just a good workout and a place
to learn self-defense. I have learned how to focus my energy in
positive ways and learned how to overcome life’s problems. My son
took classes from ages 4-7 and loved it. It improved his motor
skills, taught him discipline, showed him how to focus, and helped
improve his confidence. I can say, with great confidence, that
anybody who trains at AMAA will reap a lifetime of benefits.

(father of student and Adult Black
Belt Instructor)
“American Martial Arts Academy has been one of the best
experiences I’ve ever had.”
It’s taught me
how to be a strong, responsible, and overall better person. AMAA
also helped me greatly in school, helping me improve my patience and
my focus.
I love coming to
the studio, it feels almost like a home away from home. It is a
great experience to know that so many people care about you and a
place where you can leave all your problems at the door. AMAA has
truly been the best experience of my life.
- Caitlin V. (started at age
7)
“I am sure that with their continued effort, my son will be better
prepared to handle the challenges that life will inevitably bring.”
I have, and
continue to recommend AMAA to friends and family. My son joined at
age 7, and I am extremely satisfied with every aspect this fine
dojo has to offer.
The instructors
are excellent and work well with all children—helping shy children
to build confidence and helping overly active children to become
more focused and disciplined. In addition to self-defense, AMAA
teaches respect, kindness, confidence, teamwork, discipline, etc.
I thank everyone
at AMAA for helping me in my endeavor to raise a safe, healthy, and
happy young man.

"My experience with AMAA has been the best."
I
love karate, because without it, I would not be the great and loving
person I am today. Because of karate, I have a great foundation to
grown on. One of the great things about AMAA is that everybody, no
matter what, can enjoy its benefits.
When I joined, I
had no idea of the impact it would have on my life, but it has been
best thing that has ever happened to me, and I wouldn’t trade it for
anything.
- Marcus Q.
(started at age 10, Black Belt Junior Instructor)
“AMAA teaches you lessons that you can use for the rest of your
life, and you’ll never forget it.”
Karate has
become something exciting that I can look forward to after school.
For me, it has been a great way to relieve stress and has made me
feel strong and confident.
Achieving each
rank makes me happy because I feel that I am working towards
something special and gradually accomplishing that goal. American
Martial Arts Academy has truly been a great experience for me.
- Marie R.
(started at age 12)
“American
Martial Arts Academy has provided our family with an excellent way
to help us develop our children’s physical and emotional character.”
Through AMAA’s
character development program, we have observed great growth in our
children, Keslie (age 11) and Casey (age 8).
The recognition
and positive encouragement by the staff keeps the students engaged
and enthusiastic. I’m certain that this positive environment will
significantly impact Keslie and Casey—giving them all the right
tools, that will allow them to become confident, successful adults.
I strongly recommend AMAA for children and grown-ups alike.
- Dale E.
(children began in 2004)
“I couldn’t be happier about my son and I being a part of American
Martial Arts Academy.”
When Aiden first
started, about a year ago, he was 4 years old - and was more
interested with jumping on bags and running around. However, I have
witnessed tremendous progress in his focus, attention, discipline
and respect. In addition, he was very shy and nervous when he began
at the studio, but with time, he has greatly increased his
confidence and is no longer afraid to join his classmates.
Seeing his
progress encouraged me to join myself. I am enjoying the challenges
of taking karate and my son and I are excited to be training towards
Black Belt together. In fact, we are thrilled to be a part of AMAA.
- Karen S.
(Adult student and parent of a student)
“I wish all other sports instructors and coaches could learn from
this academy—because then there would be more successful children in
this world!”
I want to
express my gratitude to AMAA. The instructors are the best my
daughter (age 9) has ever had. She has tried other sports and
activities, but this is the only one she has truly enjoyed.
The instructors
are able to keep her motivated and have helped her build
self-confidence and assertiveness. I thank AMAA’s staff so much!
